Pastor Support News and Report for Spring 2008

 
Blessed Assurance Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. is pastored by Evangelist Samuel K. Cassell, located in Voinjama, Lofa county, Liberia. During the month of March 2008, the congregation ranged from 45-51; that is 13 males, 20 females and 18 children. No one has registered for the baptismal class.  There are three (3) new converts, one male and two females.
Infrastructure
The church immediate need is to identify land space for building the church. The church has a farm land provided by a community leader for temporary used by the church.
 
Programs
 
The church planned a fund raising program to purchase seeds for planting on the church land. The cost of the seeds  is estimated at $50.00.
 
Constraints
The evangelist walks  far distances to evangelize in towns intended for church planting. No cell phone as a means of communication to contact Alive Liberia office in Monrovia.
 
Pastor's future plans
 
The pastor’s future plan is to evangelize and plant churches in other towns.
 
 
The John 3:16 Fellowship Baptist Ministries is pastored by Rev. Harris Yates in Louisiana Township, Montserrado County Liberia. During the month of March, the congregation ranged between 135-148; 54 males, 62 females and 32 children. There are six persons in the baptism class; two males and four females; while there are two new converts; two males and one female.
 
Infrastructure
 
The church is squirting in an old sawmill building for a period of one year. The community has offered one acre of land for the church upon a part payment of $100.  A balance of $2,300 is due along with survey and probation fee of $300.
 
The pastor needs shelter as the rain season is on hand. The budget for construction of a house is $3,000.
 
 
Program
 
The pastor personally witnessed through a crusade and series of revivals and has accepted to voluntarily train other seven pastors of other  churches in the neighborhood.
 
Constraints
 
The pastor travels far distances from his house to the church and from the church to visit other churches. Meanwhile, the pastor lives in somebody's house paying rent for a leaking room.
 
Pastor's needs
 
The pastors' needs a church edifice and   his own place; used clothing to share among destitute members of the congregation. The pastor needs pastoral and Sunday school materials and motor bike for evangelism.
 
Pastors' future plan
 
 
The pastor’s plan is to continue the pastoral training of the other pastors and involve the church into agriculture activities.
 
Christ' Redeemed Church is pastored by Pastor F. Aaron Moore in Swiss' Town Grand Bassa County, Liberia. During the month of March the congregation ranged from 47-52; 20 males; 27 females and 5 children. For this month, no one registered for baptismal class and no new convert.
 
Infrastructure
 
The pastor and the congregation constructed a mud building for worship purpose.
 
Program
The pastor and the congregation had Easter program.
 
Constraints
 
The pastor lacks training materials for evangelism.
 
Pastor's needs
 
The pastor needs farming tools and training materials for evangelism and motorbike.
 
 
 
Fellowship Baptist Ministries is pastored by Pastor Andrew G. Tiah and is located in Paynesville, Liberia. During the month under review the congregation ranged from 80-85; 19 men, 39 women; and 27 children. There are eight persons in the baptismal class; 4 men and 4 women. There are 6 new converts, two men and four women.
 
Infrastructure
 
Balance payment for the church land is due by April ending in the amount of 100.00 USD.
 
Programs
 
The pastor and the congregation held two fund raising rallies and the proceeds was used to construct a tentative edifice for worship purpose. AWANA Club International was lunched.
 
Constraints
 
The pastor lacks mobility; Bibles, Commentaries materials and hymn books.
 
Pastor's needs
 
The pastor's house needs to be renovated with the rain season on; the church needs micro-loan program to empower membership. The Pastor needs  his office and some training materials for women.
 
Pastor's Future Plan
 
The pastor and congregation have planned to construct the church main edifice on the church's land; including pastors' quarters, guest house, conference hall and office.
 
 
 
 
Agape Fellowship Baptist Ministry is pastored by Pastor Isaac Glaygbo and is located in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. During the month under review, the congregation ranged from 45-48; 10 men, 20 women and 18 children. There are 10 new converts, three men  seven women and three persons are in the baptismal class; one man and two women.
 
Infrastructure
 
Two thousand mud blocks have been molded to raise the walls of the church edifice. Cement, tarps and other accessories are needed.
 
Program
 
Worship activities have started in the pastors' residence. The pastor extended high appreciation and thanks to his sponsor Indiana Presbyterian Church, especially Bro. Nelson Riddle and family for constructing his residence and the church edifice.
 
Constraints
 
The congregation is reluctant to worship in the pastors' house. There are no seats.
 
Pastor's needs
 
The pastor needs some Sunday school materials for couples, singles, youths, children and some commentaries on books of the Bible.
 
 
We regret that the other two churches in Gbagay Town and Kwalakpoyili reports  are for now unavailable due to transportation and  bereavement.
